  Simon, I agree with you 100%.

  They are not just heading to California. They are splitting up to all borders.

  California is the toughest. Those with legal counsel already secured are likely headed there. The border is impenetrable unless you are an avid hiker and immune to rattle snake venom.

  Arizon and New Mexico are locked down pretty tight as well, but Arizona is sympathetic. Many will process in through there.

  Texas is porous. It will be a reinactment of the Mexican border. It’s likely why Trump wants to send a militia to stop the leaks in the dam.

  Take a look on Google maps at the border and figure out where you would go in their shoes. That’s where they are going.

  Day 1.

  Trump says, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Soros has something to do with this caravan.”

  Day 2.

  Trump says, “A lot of people are talking about Soros having something to do with this caravan.”

  Day 3.

  Every right wing conspiracy gin website runs a story about, “Soros’ Caravan.”

  The Central American countries that this increased percentage in 2017 of asylum seekers are coming from are in the top 5 most violent places on earth.

  Its gang warfare and drug cartel driven. People arrive here and claim they are fleeing the violence and the US grants the asylum.

  In fact, 80% of women pass initial screening for qualification under the stipulations of the “Convention against Torture”

  Then there are conflicting reports that many of these disappear into the masses never to appear at their final asylum court date.

  The courts are over run and the return dates can go years.

  But it isn’t just an asylum issue.

  Travel visas are abused and after the plane ride here they disappear into the masses.

  I wouldn’t get caught up in the caravan issue. It is being utilized politically and covered by the media as a result.

  For decades, there has been a never ending caravan arriving at the border.

  I believe my thoughts on immigration are balanced. I don’t know if they reflect liberal or conservative stances.

  Yet much of what I would like to see happen doesn’t because of legal loopholes.

  Asylum courts are all over the map. 75% granted in New York. 90% denied in Atlanta. Shouldn’t there be a standard that reflects uniformity in every court?

  I’m game.

  I think migration should be done legally. Asylum should be granted rarely or at least extremely selective. Like your country is being carpet bombed.

  I believe we created a problem with the dreamers act, and now we need to own it. I personally know some of these kids and their successes and can not imagine sending them “back to their country” when they would essentially be a foreigner in a foreign land.

  I believe “chain migrations” are fine. Families should get to be together. Do it legally. Melania did it with hers.

  I believe in the 14th amendment and birthright citizenship. It can not be changed by executive order.

  I don’t believe in separating children from parents and losing them at the border or in transport.

  I don’t believe the military is necessary in any way shape or form when the issue is migrants with little on their back or in their pockets.

  My mind could be changed on some of these. I’m listening.

  I don’t have any data on that dubstepped.

  I live in Los Angeles. If I had to guess, I would say that they all get in and they come here.

  Our immigration system is a disaster. It can’t be fixed. Not even a wall will help.
